Propeller Week in Review for 05/23/09

Each week, Propeller staff put together the Propeller Week In Review ("WIR"), which summarizes the biggest stories of the past seven days. More to the point, it stitches together a wealth of comments from Propeller members--both regulars and newcomers. There's no better way to get a sense of the recent conversation.

After cracking the whip at Chrysler and accepting a degree at Notre Dame, Barack Obama was back in the spotlight this week at Propeller. Some members disapproved of the president's economic policies, labeling them "socialism" or "fascism." But another reminded the naysayers that the president's difficulties were not all of his own devising: "Obama did not bring on the problems! He inherited them from the previous administration, you morons!"

There was also some lively back-and-forth about Dick Cheney, who has transformed himself from a vice-presidential recluse into a highly visible critic of the new administration. One member called him a "portrait of insanity," while another argued that "Doomsday Dick" was "far more in tune with reality than the chattering left could ever hope to be."

Elsewhere, the community debated evolution (again) and Propeller's own Terms of Use, whi ch some members found uncomfortably elastic. Check out the blog post and join the post-WIR conversation!
